About the Recipe

This baked rice pudding is warm, comforting, and makes for the perfect breakfast or dessert.


  • 1 cup short-grain white rice

  • 3 cups whole milk

  • 1 (14-ounce) can evaporated milk

  • ⅓ cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • pinch of salt

  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon


  1. Preheat the oven to 325 F and lightly grease a large baking dish with butter.

  2. Put the rice, milk, evaporated milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a large bowl and mix to combine.

  3. Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish.

  4. Sprinkle the cinnamon evenly all over the top and bake for 1 hour 30 minutes.
