1/3 cup sugar
2 ¾ cup milk
3 tablespoons tapioca
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
Combine everything except the vanilla in a saucepan. Let stand for 5 minutes.
Cook on medium until a full boil.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Cool for 20 minutes, stir, and serve warm or chilled. Makes 6 cups.
